ROVER V8 TRIKE

Unique opportunity to own what is arguably the best trike around!Built to the highest standard by Sandy at Sandys cycles. This trike has won 'Best Trike' at every event entered. including 'Into the Valley' 2014. 'Farmyard' 2014. 'Yorkshire pudding' 2014. 'BSH Extreme' 2013 and 'VOSA Trike show' 2013. Its build was completed spring 2013 and it has proved reliable. fast and a pleasure to ride. It is properly registered and has been through the SVA process without a problem. Engine is a rebuilt 3. 9 V8 out of a Range Rover. The fuel injection has been replaced with SU carbs (much cleaner and better to build around). Gear box is a reconditioned GM180 Auto from an SD1 Rover.  The rear axle is a Jaguar IRS with LSD and inboard brakes. Radiator is 4 core with twin cooling fans. sited behind fuel tank which sits over the diff. The fuel tank is custom made. holding 5. 5 gallons. There is a reserve fuel capacity of 1 gallon in the top frame rails.  The frame. in 2 inch CDS uses the engine and transmission as a stress member. Forks. (also manufactured in house are leading link. based on Desperate Dan design with polished billet yolks and 34 mm curved bars housing internal throttle.  Adjustable Harley shocks up front. with preload and damping adjustable Gaz shocks on the rear. Front wheel and brake is Volvo V70 with one off custom hub. Exhaust system is stainless twin 4-1. with 2 inch headers running to 3 inch turnouts with removable baffles. Carb intakes are one off stainless tubes going to pancake filter under alloy air scoop. Scoops at front of engine and transmission direct air to oil coolers and rear mounted radiator. Temperature and speed. revs etc. are monitored through digital speedo mounted on the dash. Brakes are spot on!. running through a Punto servo to linked front and rear calipers. Mudguards are also one offs with LED lights and indicators all round. The seat is Harley Roadking with electrics mounted underneath. Foot controls. hand grips and mirrors are also Harley. The rear wheels are 15'' x 10'' Raceways of Donnington alloys with 295 Kumho tyres. The trike is MOT'd. taxed and ready to go. It has had a photo shoot for BSH and is due to be featured any time soon. It has covered less than 1000 miles since completion. but sadly has to go to fund another project.
